1 · Who we are
Mojik is a plush AI toy designed for children 3–12 and the calm parents around them. This Privacy Policy applies to the Mojik website (aimojik.com), the Mojik parent app, the Mojik toy itself, and any waitlist communications you receive from us.
2 · What we collect — and what we never collect
From the parent (you): email address, optional first name, country, and an optional phone number. That's it on the waitlist side. After launch, we also store the configuration you set in the app (age band, topic preferences, quiet hours) and account-level metadata (login times, device identifier, billing details if you order the toy).
From the child — nothing personal. Mojik does not collect the child's name, photo, voice recordings, biometrics, location, or any contact details. Conversations are processed on-device or in transit and only the aggregate signal a parent asked for (e.g. "this week curiosity centered on space") is surfaced in the parent app.
3 · Why we collect what we collect
Strictly to run the service: deliver the waitlist updates you opted in to, set up your account, ship the device if you pre-order, and let you configure the experience. We don't sell data, run ad networks on Mojik surfaces, or trade it with third parties for marketing.
4 · How long we keep it
Waitlist data is kept until launch + 12 months, or until you ask us to remove it (whichever is shorter). Account data is kept for the life of the account and 30 days after you delete it for backup retention, then permanently erased.
5 · Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, correct it, export it, or wipe it at any time — in the app under Settings → Data, or by emailing meetmojik@gmail.com. We aim to respond within 14 calendar days.
6 · Children's data principles
Mojik is built around the principle that the child shouldn't be a data point. We follow COPPA-style and GDPR-style principles in our design: no child profile, no behavioural advertising aimed at minors, no data sale of any signal that originates from a child's interaction. Formal certifications are part of our pre-launch plan.
7 · Cookies and analytics
The Mojik website uses a small set of strictly-necessary cookies plus, after consent, privacy-respecting analytics (page views, performance signals — no cross-site tracking). You can refuse non-essential cookies and the site continues to work.
8 · Sharing data with processors
To run Mojik we use a short list of vetted processors (cloud hosting, email delivery, payment processing, customer support). They process data on our instructions only, under contractual safeguards, and never use it for their own purposes.
9 · International transfers
Where data leaves your country, we use standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards to keep it protected at the same level as your local law.
10 · Changes to this policy
Material changes get an email notice and a banner on this page for at least 30 days. The current version is at the top of this page.
